El Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday focusing on the gathering of families and friends to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed on. There is a large festival in MexicanTown in Southwest Detroit and our chapter has been invited on a tour to learn about the holiday. The tour will begin at 12:00 noon from Cafe con Leche at 4200 W. Vernor in Detroit. Meet at the cafe at 11:00 am. The tour costs $2 cash per person. Lunch will follow at a Mexican restaurant in the area. Please click the link below for more information.
